Insurance Claims Process
At Cork Contracting L.L.C., we take our jobs seriously. This is why we have formulated an effective framework for our new clients who decide to use our services. Here is a step by step guide to how we help our clients get their claims approved. We understand that filing a claim is a complex process, this is why we will be with you every step of the way to ensure that you are not overwhelmed with information and questions that you may not have answers to.
Step 1
We will inspect your roof carefully and find out where the damage is located. We will draw a report based on the inspection and provide you a copy of the report free of charge. If we find damage caused by hail, wind, or both to your roof, we will advise you to call your insurance company to file a claim for storm damage. If you choose to, our roof inspector can stay with you while you speak with your insurance company, in case they have questions that our roofing inspector can answer.Step 2
Once you have filed the claim, your insurance company will send an adjuster to meet with you at your home. As your roofing contractor expert, we will be there at the meeting to make sure everything is in order and to answer any questions the adjuster may have regarding the report. The adjuster will fill out a form and submit it to the insurance company. This paperwork will determine the approval of your claim and will include the details of the job to be done. Please note that often times, your insurance company will approve your claim at a lower value than that which you have filed for. This amount will be insufficient to cover the entire expense of the replacement of your roof. We will take care of this by filing requests to your insurance company to reconsider the amount that they have approved. This may take several follow-ups and we will continue to do so untill your insurance company reconsiders the amount they have approved. We will follow up with your insurance company directly and we will contact you when they have approved the claim for the amount you originally requested.
Step 3
When your insurance company approves your claim, Cork Contracting L.L.C. will contact you to schedule the installation of your new roof. We will pull all neccesary permits. Our roofing experts who are fully licensed and insured, will install your new high quality roofing materials. In doing so, they will finish the job in a professional and timely manner. Once your new roof is installed, we will contact your insurance company to inform them that the job is complete.
